2020 New Year Stashdown Gorgeous Grannies Cal - Crochet a granny a day all through January...

I will be running the cal through my Facebook Group, where you will be able to share all your lovely photos. I will post a link to that day's pattern each day and don't worry if you don't use Facebook, I will add links here too, so make sure to bookmark this page. I am planning on using solid colours for all my squares, so the finished blanket will have a patchwork look to it. You can use any colours you like, that's the beauty of granny squares. Just use up that stash and make something pretty.
How To Join In
- Check either here or on the Facebook Group each day for the pattern link.
- Choose what weight of yarn you would like to use and correct hook for that yarn ie. 4mm hook for DK, 5mm hook for Aran / worsted. Use this for EVERY square.
- Follow daily instructions (each pattern may need to be altered slightly to give the correct size).
- Feel free to post photos.
- Once all squares are complete, check back here for finishing instructions.

Have a great day!

This sounds like a lovely idea! I don't go on FB, but shall be following instructions here! Granny squares and mandalas are my favourite things to crochet!
ReplyDeleteYes me too, I do love a granny square.
DeleteThank you, Catherine. I did see this post and went to get the Cosmos flower pattern on Ravelry. I just didn't see a posting on the temperature hot and cold CAL!
DeleteAh I see what you mean. I will post updates for the temperature blanket at the end of each season. I will also add some round by round photos to the pattern when I get time tomorrow hopefully. I must say I do find it extremely hard to only make one square a day, I am just too impatient...
DeleteI think that everyone doing your Hot and Cold CAL must be on Facebook as I'm the only one here on your blog! I can't seem to get into the posting for that anymore and your new blog entries are not showing up on my blog reader! I need to see it to be reminded of the corner to corner joining. I seem to remember that square 3 is above square 1.
DeleteIf you click on free patterns at the top you can find a list of all my free patterns and the Hot & Cold blanket is listed there. That's probably the easiest way to get back there other than bookmarking the page on your web browser, or there is a search bar at the top right and you can search for what you are looking for using keywords. Hope that helps.
